Bio 2

Kathleen was born in Etobicoke Ontario, and grew up attending Westway United Church, being baptized and confirmed there, before moving to Bala as a young teenager with her parents and sister.  Bala was more like home than Toronto ever was, as Kathleen spent every summer there at her mother’s family cottage.  After graduating from Gravenhurst High School, Kathleen worked for the Canadian Red Cross in Muskoka as a Homemaker, while completing a degree in Religious Studies by correspondence from Laurentian University in Sudbury. This led to studies at Queen’s Theological College in Kingston, where she graduated, in 2003 and was ordained by Toronto Conference in that same year.

After her ordination, Kathleen was settled to the Daysland Pastoral Charge and served three churches in rural Central Alberta for nine years, but felt the call home to family and Ontario and moved back and served the two churches of Severn Bridge Pastoral Charge in Washago and Ardtrea before joining the Bracebridge ministry team.

Kathleen loves to learn and is an avid student of just about anything, but especially, pop culture, movies and music, crafts and puzzles, and books.  When her nose isn’t in a book Kathleen loves spending time with her family and friends and especially her two, four-legged nieces!
